Turn Up The Drama: Stand out and capture your audience’s attention with these dramatic combos. We will begin with a short warm-up and a break down of the movements before moving onto the combinations. Our focus will be on slow isolated movements while overlaying sharp contrasting isolations to create a unique and theatrical effect.

KAMI LIDDLE - From 2pm to 5pm
Feline Inspired Combinations
: I’ve often heard the comment that my dancing had a cat-like quality, so these combinations are inspired by the slow, deliberate, sneaky and playful nature of cats. This workshop asks you to step out of your comfort zone and try a new avenue of movement, combining head, arm, hand, shoulder and leg movements with “bellydance” isolations to create a sinous feline-esque look.

AMY SIGIL FROM UNMATA!!!

Amy Sigil, director/choreographer of UNMATA, and owner of Hot Pot Studio in Sacramento, CA, has been spreading her high octane performances and workshops around the globe for the last 7 years and has been dancing for 13 years. She likes her dance “fasty” and her music “loudy”! She is an athlete; a full force tough love dancer, with 110% heart for the game. Her workshops will make you sweat till you bleed and UNMATA will make you smile till you scream! Influenced by her studies in Bellydance, American Tribal Style, Hula, and Hip Hop, Amy brings you…SIGIL Style…not just a dance style; a life style.

HEATHER STANTS FROM URBAN TRIBAL!!!

Heather Stants is a lifelong artist and dancer with a degree in photography and fine arts. Her career in Tribal Fusion Dance began over twelve years ago when she became the assistant director of Read My Hips (www.readmyhips.com) in Chicago, Illinois. In 1999 Heather moved to San Diego, California and launched the southern California tribal movement through her classes and the formation of Urban Tribal Dance Company.

Heather’s diverse movement and arts background feeds her creativity and her groundbreaking approach to choreography. Urban Tribal Dance Company is known for it’s contemporary approach to belly dance, a pared down costume emphasizing body movements over ornamentation, athleticism and the use of the dance form as a means of personal expression and interpretation. Their creativity has twice earned the the title of “Troupe of the Year” in Zaghareet! Magazine’s Golden Belly Awards. In addition to teachin several weekly classes in San Diego since 1999, Heather Stants and Urban Tribal Dance Company tour extensively sharing their love of modern tribal fusion dance with dancers in the U.S. and abroad. Urban Tribal Dance Company can be seen in dvd releases produced by The Bellydance Superstars and Hollywood Music.
